課程概述	本課程分為教師講授與學生實習兩部分。學生需執行完整的研究計畫，包含研究設計、抽樣、問卷發展、資料蒐集、譯碼、分析資料及撰寫報告。
課程目標	這是一個社會科學研究方法的入門課程，本課程旨在介紹公共衛生領域中常用的研究方法的理論與技術，並且透過實證研究論文的閱讀以及實際參與執行研究計畫的練習，讓同學具備公共衛生學術研究的基本知識與能力。課程首先會簡要公共衛生研究領域的範圍及其所應用的基礎學科，例如社會學、心裡學、流行病學與經濟學等。接著便介紹以健康為中心的研究方法，包括研究的基本哲學、抽樣方法、調查訪問、實驗研究、問卷設計、資料收集與分析等。
課程要求	(1) 課堂參與 20%； (2) 期末考試 40%； (3) 期末報告 40%。
